Local law enforcement officials are seeking anyone with more information about damage done to vehicles following a crime spree at in Blyn last week.

According to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, security personnel at the 7 Cedars Casino and Resort received information that a man was damaging vehicles in the parking lot with an unknown weapon.

According to a sheriff’s office report, while deputies and Sequim Police Department officers were en route, the casino’s video surveillance team tracked the man’s movements from the casino’s parking lot to the Longhouse Market and Deli parking lot. When officers arrived, the suspect fled into a dense thicket of brambles just south of the Longhouse. The suspect was located a few minutes later and taken into custody.

The suspect was later identified by his state-issued photo ID as 29-year-old Luke O. Lindsey, whose last known address was listed as Port Ludlow.

In reviewing video surveillance, investigators found Lindsey had stolen a case of beer and some assorted snacks from the Longhouse, according to the sheriff’s office. At about 11:30 p.m., he walked around the casino parking lot, randomly hitting cars with a beer bottle and a sock that contained a heavy object.

The video showed that he damaged at least 10 vehicles with an estimated combined total greater than $5,000, law enforcement officials said.

According to the sheriff’s office, Lindsey then fled on foot east towards the Longhouse, and then broke out a window at Fire District 3 Station 37, and caused several hundred dollars of damage to the light fixtures on the property.

Lindsey then approached a loaded commercial flatbed truck and trailer park at the Longhouse, according to the sheriff’s office. He entered its exterior tool boxes and loosened the cargo straps that were securing the truck’s load.

Lindsey was booked into the Clallam County Jail for the charges of Vehicle Prowl 2, Theft 3 and Malicious Mischief 1.

Lindsey was recently cleared as a missing person after he was contacted in Poulsbo on May 18. His criminal history shows six felony convictions, including two for malicious mischief in the first degree (property damage over $5,000), robbery in the second degree, unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree, taking a motor vehicle without permission first degree, and attempting to elude law enforcement.
