Sequim Little League to host field clean-up, dinner-and-a-movie

A month after a successful end-of-the-season celebration and movie night, Sequim Little League is gearing up for another day — and evening — at the ballpark.

League officials are hosting a special field clean-up, an old fashioned spaghetti dinner and move under the stars on Saturday, Aug. 21, at the league fields, 124 W. Silberhorn Road.

Field clean-up starts at 10 a.m. Tasks include painting, cleaning, roof repair, door replacement, landscaping and other projects. Those who have weed eaters, shovels, rakes and other tools are asked to bring them to the park. There will not be any mowing, as the league is in the midst of a complete renovation of all grass playing surfaces.

Lunch will be provided for those helping with field cleanup.

The community is invited back to the park for dinner-and-a-movie showcasing “Angeles in the Outfield.” Gates open at 8 p.m. with the movie starting at about 9 p.m.

Dinner will include spaghetti, Caesar salad, garlic bread and a drink.

Tickets are $10 per adult, $5 per child (12 and younger) or $40 per household; youths in a Sequim Little League uniform eat free.

Tickets for dinner will be available at the gate.
