This week: Soroptimists’ online garden show, auction

Soroptimist International of Sequim’s Online Garden Show Auction kicks off Wednesday, April 27, and runs through Sunday May 1. See sequimgardenshow.com.

There are more than 140 items to bid on, including a flight to Port Townsend and lunch at the Spruce Goose, Gramma’s Bourbon Fudge, garden tools and garden art, handwoven place mats and scarves, bread-making baskets and a loaf of the sourdough bread, art, jewelry and planters.

Funds raised go toward scholarships and other awards to help provide education and training so “women and girls can achieve economic empowerment.”

The group also hosts a gardening webinar from 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, with Toni Gattone, an author and inspirational speaker who will give tools, strategies, and advice that will enable people to garden as long as they want to. Register at sequimgardenshow.com.
