The Sequim Valley Lions Club contributed $1,000 to KSQM 91.5 FM as part of the radio station’s Spring Fund Drive.

With more than $28,000 raised and counting, the Spring Fund Drive helps support KSQM, a volunteer-powered, listener-supported nonprofit community station.

KSQM began broadcasting to Sequim, Port Angeles and Victoria, B.C., on Dec. 7, 2008. Broadcasts are also heard online at ksqmfm.com.

The Sequim Valley Lions Club was chartered in 1955. Their community projects support Sequim by providing eyeglass recycling, building handicap ramps, food bank donations, the Puppy Pilot program for the blind, building of the Guy Cole Center, veteran’s spaghetti dinners, Halloween candy giveaway, white cane days, coastal cleanup projects, college scholarships and more.
