Peninsula ART Friends sets two-day faire

Peninsula ART Friends, a group of local artists creating water-media art in Sequim, invite the public to their first Art Faire, set for 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 2-3, at Sequim Museum & Arts, 544 N. Sequim Ave.

In addition to the creations of Peninsula ART Friends, the Art Faire also includes work by guest artisans.

A donation from exhibition proceeds support the Olympic Peninsula Art Association youth scholarship fund.

Led by Shirley Rudolf and Connie Drysdale, Peninsula ART Friends create fine art using water and paint. Members each have a unique way of looking at their world and bring that distinctive perspective to their art, group representatives say.

Peninsula ART Friends have also invited local businesses to sponsor the Art Faire through cash and in-kind donations. Donors will receive recognition at the exhibit and in promotional materials. Major sponsorship has been received from the City of Sequim which awarded a tourism enhancement grant to the group.
