Second Saturday Garden Walk set in Port Angeles

WSU-certified Clallam County Master Gardeners Jan Bartron, Bob Cain, Laurel Moulton and Audreen Williams will lead the Second Saturday Garden Walk from 10-11:30 a.m. on Sept. 10.

The free educational outreach walk will be at the Port Angeles Fifth Street Community Garden, 328 E. Fifth St. — just off Peabody Street and directly across from City Hall.

Learn with them and see what needs to be done in the vegetable garden. September’s topics will focus getting tomatoes to ripen, using cover crops to reinvigorate garden soils, and saving seeds. For those of you needing a break from vegetable gardening, then the topic of putting the garden to bed would be relevant to your gardening needs.

There is always time to ask questions and get timely vegetable gardening advice on this fast-paced walk-through.
