Two separate vehicle collisions on U.S. Highway 101 in the past two days have sent three people to the hospital with minor injuries. 

The first crash occurred Sunday at about 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 101 and Kitchen-Dick Road. The two-vehicle collision blocked the southbound lane of Kitchen-Dick Road and slowed traffic on Highway 101 for about 45 minutes. 

Two occupants of the same vehicle were transported to Olympic Medical Center with minor injuries. 

The second crash occurred Monday at about noon on U.S. Highway 101 at Schoolhouse Point Road. One patient was transported to OMC for examination of possible neck and back injuries. 

According to a Washington State Patrol report, a vehicle was stopped on the highway attempting to make a left turn onto Schoolhouse Point Road when an eastbound vehicle collided into the first vehicle’s back end.

Traffic eastbound was initially blocked for 10-15 minutes until Clallam Sheriff’s Department and Clallam County Fire District 3 personnel established shifted travel lanes around the accident.

The Washington State Patrol investigated both accidents.
