Brock, dentist, in for Lange

Tony Brock is the new dentist in town.

Brock, whose wife, Chelle, hails from Olympia, moved with her and their six children from Phoenix, Ariz., after purchasing the practice of Dr. Gary Lange, who is retiring after more than 40 years as a dentist in Sequim.

Brock, who is 45, is a newly minted dentist. He received his first college degree from Purdue University 20-plus years ago in mechanical engineering.

He plied that trade for “years and years, wandering all over the Midwest,” he said. “Then I decided I wanted to spend my nights with my family.”

Brock said while attending Purdue he considered going to dental school, but was too tired to pursue it.

“I decided I’d rather wait till I have six kids, then go to school,” he laughed.

He received his degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz., earlier this year.

Brock practices general dentistry. While he has purchased Lange’s practice, he’s still taking new patients.
