Free knitting class set

The Golden Crafts Shop, at 112-C S. Lincoln St., Port Angeles, is offering a free knitting class beginning today, Aug. 1. Students will learn how to knit a market or tote bag in one piece. The pattern will be provided and students will need two size 6 circular needles or a set of size 6 double-pointed needles and a large ball or cone of worsted weight cotton yarn. The bag will require 8 to 12 ounces of yarn to complete. Students should know how to knit. The class will be offered from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesdays through Aug. 22.

‘Chill Out Fido’ with workshop

Author and certified dog behavior consultant Nan Arthur presents her popular “Chill Out Fido” workshop from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at Legacy Canine Behavior and Training, 252 Kitchen-Dick Road. Chronic pain group set

Licensed psychotherapist Terrance Wolf, LMFT, leads a six-week chronic pain group to deal with the emotional aspects of ongoing physical pain, including mindfulness based stress reduction, meditation and guided imagery, from 10:30 a.m.-noon Wednesdays, Aug. 8-Sept. 19, at Village Heartbeat Studio, 353 Chickadee Lane, Sequim.
