Workshop for businesses planned

First Federal will be hosting a free business workshop from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at its Downtown Business Solutions Center, 141 W. First St. in Port Angeles.

The workshop is presented by Mark Bowman, who focuses on benefits of a business plan and what important information to include. Why write a business plan? Who is your audience? What are the most important items in the plan? Seating is limited.

New office, new broker

Professional Real Estate has moved to a new office location at 329 S. Sequim Ave., at the corner of West Prairie Street and South Sequim Avenue.

Cookbook author at Nash’s Farm Store

Join author Mi Ae Lipe for a presentation about her new book “Bounty from the Box” at Nash’s Farm Store, 4681 Sequim-Dungeness Way in Dungeness, at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12.

Lipe’s illustrated cookbook is directed to people thinking about getting a CSA box, where the customer pays ahead and receives a weekly box of fresh, seasonal produce from a local farm.

The book follows the seasons and is a guide for using the more than 90 different crops commonly found in CSA boxes across the nation. The presentation is free and open to the public.


Windermere Open House set

Access to surcharge-fee ATMS expanded

KeyBank has boosted customer access to surcharge-free ATMs through an agreement with Cardtronics, the world’s largest retail ATM owner/operator.

As a result of the partnership, KeyBank clients can use ATMs at Walgreens stores in Washington and Oregon without paying a surcharge. In Sequim, there is a new ATM at the Walgreens at 490 W. Washington St., Sequim.

All KeyBank ATMs, including surcharge-free ATMS available to KeyBank customers, can be found using the Branch & ATM locator available at the bank’s website.


MFR specialist completes more training

Ulia Cummings, PT, from Sequim MFR, has completed 25 contact hours of training in the theory, practice and clinical application of Myofascial Release Technologies during a four-day workshop from Feb. 11-14 in Sedona, Ariz., on the topic of Women’s Health, which allows Cummings to expand her practice in the treatment of women’s health issues.


Bike Repair 101

Join experts from Ben’s Bikes at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Sequim Library System, 630 N. Sequim Ave., to learn how to perform simple roadside repairs and bike maintenance to keep you rolling on the trails this spring.
