Sequim Gym to have grand re-opening; First Federal names VP; films slated at Nash’s Farm Store, more

Sequim Gym to have grand re-opening

Sequim Gym, 145 E. Washington St., Sequim, has added Anna McGuire, a licensed massage therapist, to the team. The center will have its grand re-opening from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21.

There will be specials for the month and drawings for a massage, nutrition consult, personal training and membership.

Classes are included free with memberships or drop-ins are welcome. For information, call 681-2555. Hours are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday.

 

First Federal names VP

First Federal announces the appointment of Laurie Szepczynski as First Federal’s vice president and business development officer. Her duties include a specialized focus on deposit growth and customer relationship building throughout First Federal’s footprint. She has been with First Federal for 27 years and in banking for 30 years.


Films slated at Nash’s Farm Store

The Winter Film Series continues at Nash’s Farm Store, 4681 Sequim-Dungeness Way in Dungeness, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, with the documentary “Bringing It Home.” The movie tells the story of hemp, past, present and future.

At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, with “Food Chains,” a film that depicts the fight for social justice by farm workers in the U.S. In this exposé, a group of Florida farm workers battle to defeat the $4 trillion global supermarket industry through their ingenious Fair Food program, which partners with growers and retailers to improve working conditions for farm laborers in the United States.

The screenings are free and open to the public.
