Hitler vs Trump

Hitler in 1933 suspended civil rights in Germany and allowed imprisonment without trial.

Trump in 2025 is violating the Constitution by arresting people without due process — a right guaranteed to all — and shipping them to foreign countries where they’ve never lived, without ever giving them a trial!

Hitler in 1933 gave the central government power to overrule state and local laws and installed Reich commissars directly subordinate to him.

Trump in 2025 is purging officials who refuse his fascist agenda, replacing them with loyal lackeys.

His push to eliminate mail ballots and voting machines shows that the self-proclaimed “party of states’ rights” has no respect for states’ rights at all.

He’s determined to impose his twisted, fascist vision on every American.

Hitler in 1933 established the first SS-run camps to incarcerate political opponents.

Trump in 2025 establishes “Alligator Alley” in Florida and other “black” sites to illegally detain and disappear people.

Hitler in 1933 gave Nazi paramilitary units control of the streets.

Trump in 2025 deploys the National Guard and masked ICE thugs into blue states without governors’ consent — a blatant abuse of power!

Hitler in 1933 took political foes into “protective custody.”

Trump in 2025 keeps an enemies list and targets them with frivolous prosecution — like James Comey and Letitia James.

Which is the act of a dictator?

It is encouraging to see so many people concerned about the possible rise of a totalitarian state in the U.S.

I wonder how many were moved by an understanding of history and mass psychology and how many were only expressing a hatred of Trump.

Who has considered the operation of political myth as discussed by Sorel and Engle and its application in the Reichstag building fire and today’s events — Jan. 6, for example, or what the acts of a totalitarian dictator actually look like.

For me the line would be to execute citizens on order without a trial — for example, Anwar Nasser Abdulla al-Awlaki.

Does a president properly follow the law or use the office to do what the people want in spite of the law (recall political myth)?

Which is the act of a dictator?
