The dangerous staging of a toddler’s abduction at Carrie Blake Park deserves to be revisited for prosecution. The perpetrators, the Holden family, should be held accountable in a court.

Why did Sequim City Attorney Craig Ritchie give the Holden family “a pass” for their dangerous actions?The results are simply backwards.

The perps got immediate national recognition on morning TV while the courageous young mom who pursued the perps quietly slipped into obscurity. It is “courageous mom” who, at great risk to herself, would not let the perps go unchallenged.

“Courageous mom” is the one deserving national media recognition, not the perps; they deserve time in court and if found guilty, time in community service. That’s the least they owe Sequim.
