Declutter classes start

Registration is open for The Declutter Lady’s “Managing Paper Clutter” class series. Evening classes begin Tuesday, March 5, from 5:30-7 p.m. and daytime classes are Thursdays from 1:30-3 p.m. starting March 7. The four-week series is held at the Quality Inn, 134 River Road, Sequim. Sculptures on exhibit at Fine Arts Center

The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center presents “Pillars,” a new exhibit by husband and wife artists John and Robin Gumaelius through May 5 at 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. until March 10 and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. beginning March 13. The couple, from Hoquiam, works in tandem to create award-winning, narrative clay and mixed media sculpture. Poetry performed at Peninsula College

Foothills Writers Series presents performance poetry by Jason Carney at 12:35 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the Little Theater at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.

The event is free and open to the public.

Readers Theatre Plus auditions set

Readers Theatre Plus holds auditions for “The Shadow Box” at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Dungeness School House, 2781 Towne Road, Sequim. Performances will be in April.

Library joins in the hoop-la

“In the Center Ring – You!” is a make-your-own-hula-hoop program for adults 18 and older, set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St. Part of the library’s Winter Reading Circus, the free program includes making a hula hoop and hooping basics for fun and exercise.

Performance poetry hits P.C.

Foothill Writers hosts a free, high-energy performance poetry open mic at 12:35 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, in Maier Performance Hall at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles. Sign-up is 10 minutes before the reading.
