Clallam County Genealogical Society sets fall seminar

The Clallam County Genealogical Society hosts the group’s fall seminar set for 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 501 E. Park Ave., Port Angeles.

The guest speaker is certified genealogist Jill Morelli, president of the Seattle Genealogical Society, who is known as a popular speaker, writer and researcher.

Morelli presents a series of “Twentieth Century Research Dilemmas” with four lectures: “The Push and Pull Decision-Making of the 19th Century Emigrant,” “Too Many Marys! Solving ID and Same–name Conundrums,” “Finding Frederick Christian Eiler: Scoundrel, Old Sinner and More!” and “Soldiers, Spies and Farm Wives: The Changing Roles of Women During the Civil War.”

The series is $40 for genealogical society members, $50 for non-members and those who register after Oct. 17 and at the door.
