Clallam Mosaic and Clallam County Orcas receive checks

The Saint Joseph’s Catholic parish Knights of Columbus chapter stood with Walmart employees as they presented proceeds from their annual “Tootsie Roll” fundraiser to representatives of Clallam Mosaic and Clallam County Orcas.

On Jan. 24, Knights of Columbus fundraiser chairman Fritz Field presented a check to Garet Bonham while Grand Knight Bill Wheeler presented a check to Clallam Mosaic program coordinator Tresa Stuber.

The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization of Catholic men that raised $2,300 during their “Tootsie Roll” fundraiser in October 2016 where they fundraised outside of the Sequim Walmart for donations and handed out tootsie roll candies.

The Sequim chapter organizes a variety of fundraisers that raise more than $25,000 annually for different Sequim and Clallam County charities.

The Clallam County Orcas are part of Special Olympics Washington and organize athletic activities for special needs people and the Clallam Mosaic provides a variety of services to special needs adults.
