Doors open at 6 p.m. with a brief program at 6:45 p.m. Music begins at 7 p.m. Tickets, a $10 “gift of giving,” are available online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/897408 and at the Totem Rewards Club counter in the casino lobby. Attendees must be 21 to enter.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Foundation.

“We recognize and appreciate the sacrifice that veterans have made to protect our freedom and welcome the opportunity to show our support for the Captain Joseph House Foundation,” 7 Cedars Marketing Director Judy Walz said. “For Gold Star families, the road to a new normal is long with many bumps along the way. Captain Joseph House is forging new horizons in extended care to help these families on their journey.”

7 Cedars will also host a Veterans Day Buffet from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Tuesday in the Salish Room. Veterans eat free.

The Captain Joseph House Foundation will staff a table throughout the day to thank veterans for their services and answer questions about Captain Joseph House and its mission.

About the Captain Joseph House Foundation

Nearly 7,000 families who have lost a military member in the line of duty since the beginning of the Global War on Terrorism on 9/11 are now recognized as “Gold Star Families.”

With both volunteer and paid staff, donated funding and inspiration, the Captain Joseph House Foundation ensures a place of respite for the families of fallen military servicemen and women of all branches who have died in combat since 9/11 and provides a continuum of care for their personal healing.

The House is a retreat for up to three families a week, 11 months a year to gather following the death of their loved one who was killed during service to our country. There is no cost to the families for transportation, lodging and meals during their stay.

Captain Joseph House is in the process of remodeling and has a target date for a Grand Opening celebration on Memorial Day Weekend 2015 with families joining arriving shortly thereafter.
