Gemologists hold open house

The Clallam County Gem and Mineral Association hosts its spring open house from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, at the club's shop facilities at 81 Hooker Road, Unit 5, Carlsborg.

The Clallam County Gem and Mineral Association hosts its spring open house from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, at the club’s shop facilities at 81 Hooker Road, Unit 5, Carlsborg.

Watch on-going demonstrations in rock cutting and polishing, wire wrapping polished stones, creating chain mail jewelry and faceting stones. Observe the facility’s metal smithing, casting and other lapidary activities.

The association is a non-profit association group for educational activity in the science of geology as it relates to the discovery of rock, mineral and fossils.
