Gospel singer Babbie Mason sets Sequim concert on May 24

The recipient of two Dove Awards and numerous nominations for the Dove, Grammy, Stellar and Emmy awards, Babbie Mason comes to Sequim for a concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, at Sequim Community Church, 950 N. Sequim Ave.

There is no charge for admittance, organizers note; a love offering is taken after the performance.

Mason’s music is a mainstay on Christian radio, television, the internet and in films. She was recognized for her contributions to gospel music with her induction into the Christian Music Hall of Fame in 2010.

She is the recipient of The Golden Scroll Award from the Advanced Writers And Speakers Association. She has recorded 26 solo projects, authored nine books and written countless songs for herself and artists such as Larnelle Harris, Cece Winans and the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.

She hosts her own TV talk show, “Babbie’s House,” and runs an internet radio station online at babbiemasonradio.com.

She and her husband Charles make their home in Georgia.
