LifeNet lauds OMC’s support of tissue donations

LifeNet Health in May recognized Olympic Medical Center for their outstanding support for the gift of tissue donation.

OMC received the Tissue Donation Standards of Excellence Award, which is given to hospital partners who achieve and sustain high standards for initiating the donation process.

“The gift of tissue donation allows members of our communities to lead healthy, productive and joyful lives, and OMC’s partnership in this process is invaluable,” said Heidi Murdock, LifeNet Health donor relations manager.

“LifeNet Health extends our greatest thanks to Olympic Medical Center for all their efforts and support of our mission to ‘Save Lives, Restore Health and Give Hope.’”

One tissue donor can help restore health to more than 150 patients in need, OMC officials said.

“Hospital partners are an essential part of the donation process and are crucial to ensuring that a donor and their family’s final wishes to help others are honored,” the organization noted in a press release.
