MAC hosts Hamilton book signing

Renowned nature photographer and author Ross Hamilton will sign copies of his book and 2012 calendar from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at the MAC Exhibit Center, 175 W. Cedar St. in Sequim.

Copies of Hamilton’s 2012 Olympic Peninsula photographic 12-month wall calendar, numerous postcards and posters of his photographs will be available for purchase at the event, along with his book, “The Olympics: A Wilderness Trilogy,” which is a photographic journey through the Olympic Peninsula’s coast, forest and mountains.

Light refreshments also will be served during the book signing, which is presented by the Museum & Arts Center in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley. Free raffle tickets to win one autographed copy of Hamilton’s 2012 calendar will be given out during the book signing.

Hamilton, professionally known and respected for his stunning images of the North Olympic Peninsula landscape, has lived in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley for more than 40 years. In that time, the prolific photographer has published eight calendars, several Olympic Peninsula and Olympic National Park travel guides, one book and, most recently, an essay for the Summer 2011 edition of Living on the Peninsula, published by the Sequim Gazette.
