Milestone: OMC’s Stephens lauded for leadership

Olympic Medical Center CEO Eric Lewis recognized Mindy Stephens, RN, BSN, with the organization’s Leadership Award in March for supporting the success of her unit and staff through consistent leadership and collaboration.

Stephens became manager of Olympic Medical’s Endoscopy and Short Stay Unit in February 2018 after overseeing the Short Stay and Post Anesthesia Care Units in 2017. Stephens began working at Olympic Medical as an RN on the medical/surgical floor at Olympic Memorial Hospital in 2004.

“Whether she is dealing with colleagues, staff or providers, Mindy exemplifies the values that define OMC – quality, safety, teamwork, compassion, respect, integrity and stewardship. She is always exploring ways to increase efficiencies on her unit and pays attention to both services and supplies,” said Lorraine Wall, RN, chief nursing officer and hospital chief operating officer.
