The Soroptimist International of Sequim announced recently Girls of the Month honors for Katie Potter, left, and Elizabeth Sweet.

Potter a senior and member of the Honor Society and plans to attend Azusa Pacific University and major in psychology and music. She is a member the Sequim High School Vocal Ensemble and is the student liaison for the Sequim City Council.

Sweet is also a senior and member of Honor Society. She volunteers in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program at Helen Haller Elementary School, and tutors at the elementary school.

Sweet is applying to several universities, including University of Washington; she plans to major in biochemistry/chemistry.
