Milestone: Sequim World War II veteran turns 100

Allen Sill, a U.S. Navy and World War II veteran and Sequim resident, was honored recently in recognition of his 100th birthday by VFW Post 6787 of Carlsborg.

Sill celebrated the event with members of the organization, several community leaders and family members.

VFW commander Rod Lee bestowed Sill with a proclamation of his lifetime achievements, a plaque and a U.S. Navy flag.
