Olympic Peninsula Authors host reading events at libraries

The Olympic Peninsula Authors host two upcoming reading events. Each features a different group of local authors so there is no duplication in the programs; the public is invited to either or both.

The first is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave. The second is 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.

Readings are by authors whose work appears in “In the Words of Olympic Peninsula Authors, Volume II.” The 300-plus page book includes short stories, prose and poems by 30 authors who are awarding-winning, published, and/or newly recognized for their talent.

All selections in the book involve life on the Olympic Peninsula.

Attendees may ask questions of all the authors and have their books signed. The free events are open to the public.

Authors featured at the Sequim event include: Charlie Sheldon, Craig Andrews, Michael Medler, Nancy Fowler, Bonnie Dickmann, Melee McGuire, Kimberly Minard, Vykki Morrison, Judith R. Duncan and Leonard Knapp.

Authors featured in Port Angeles are: Dianne L. Knox, John Victor Anderson, Heidi Hansen, Jack Barnes, Gordon Anderson, Mary Ann Miller, Marlene Lewis and Kirsti Lee.
