OTA’s ‘Man with the Plastic Sandwich’ opens this weekend

With recent productions selling out on their final weekends, organizers with Olympic Theatre Arts encourage early ticket purchases for their upcoming shows, including “The Man with the Plastic Sandwich.”

The comedic play by Roger Karshner and directed by Pat Owens runs for three weekends 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays, April 26-May 12 in OTA’s Gathering Hall, 414 N. Sequim Ave. A free preview night is held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25.

Tickets are $20 and $15 for students online at olympictheatrearts.org or through the box office 1-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday.

“The Man with the Plastic Sandwich” follows Walter (Shaun Hughbanks) after he is fired from his job as he ponders his next steps in a park where he meets eclectic characters played by AnLi Guttormsen, Steve Fisher and Cheryl Tamblyn who provide him with new insight and perspectives.
