P.C. sponsors Native American student exhibition

 

The Peninsula College Longhouse Art Gallery has opened its Native Student Art Exhibit, which runs through July. There is a reception from 3-4 p.m. Thursday, June 6, as part of the college’s Spring Arts Week.

 

The show was open to Native American students of any tribe or band, of all ages, in any type of educational setting, including home-schooled, public school, college or apprenticeship.

 

Among the exhibitors are P.C. student Jeff Monson, Running Start student Emma Barrell, Sequim High School studentOlivia Barrell, and University of Washington student Kissendrah Johnson, all of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe.

Viewing hours in June are from 8-11 a.m. Tuesdays-Thursdays and from 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Fridays. Hours during July will vary and are by appointment. Call 452-9277.
