Peninsula libraries hosting book talks this month

The North Olympic Library System hosts four virtual Book Discussion Group meetings in December.

Registration through www.nols.org/book-discussion-groups is required for each event in order to receive the Zoom meeting info, but all are welcome to participate.

Paperback copies of the upcoming book selections will be available for pick up any time after the current month’s discussion, during curbside service hours at the Sequim or Port Angeles branches (see location notations below) on a first-come, first-served basis.

Copies in other formats such as large print, book on CD and eBook may also be available to request for through the NOLS catalog at www.nols.org.

The December Book Discussion Group Schedule kicked off Dec. 8 with “The Overstory” by Richard Powers. Remaining book talks include:

• 2nd Saturday Book Discussion Group: “Mozart’s Starling” by Lyanda Lynn Haupt, 3 p.m., Dec. 12; paperback copies available at Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.

• Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group: “The Friend” by Sigrid Nunez, 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16; paperback copies available at Sequim Library

• Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group: “The Home Place” by J. Drew Lanham, 6:30 p.m., Dec. 16; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library
