“Discover Your Unique Message and Define Your Purpose” is the subject of upcoming 2nd Tuesday Guest Speaker Series, featuring Seattle author/Toastmaster Jackie Bailey.
Hosted by Sequim’s Toastmasters Club, the event is set for 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at The Gathering Place in Sunland, 135 Fairway Dr. The series is free and open to the public — free tickets available at YourUniqueMessage.eventbrite.com.
Bailey facilitates a workshop where attendees “discover the message they are uniquely qualified to give.” Through some preparatory “homework” attendees will receive after registering, they will be able to answer three questions which Randy J. Harvey asks in his book, “Public Speaking 101 Messages That Matter”: Who am I? What am I about? How did I learn that?
“After dread of standing in front of a crowd, the next fear stopping people from public speaking is the idea that they have no message,” Lindy MacLaine, Club President of Skwim Toastmasters, said. “Even within our Toastmasters Club, where we speak often, we’re excited about Jackie’s promise to help us find our unique message.”
Bailey is the author of “SELF Centered Leadership: Becoming Influential, Intentional, and Exceptional.” Her book is available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle.
Bailey requests all participants to have completed the approximately one hour of homework.
