With a detective twist of Shakespearean proportions, Norwegian prince Fortinbras has inherited the crown of Denmark following the untimely deaths of the entire Danish royal family. However, Fortinbras quickly falls under suspicion, as investigators determine the story he is telling is dubious at best.

Fortinbras tells his story enlisting the aid of the Snappy Players acting troupe who were witnesses to the events after Hamlet hired the troupe to help entrap his villainous uncle.

Written and directed by Mosaic instructor Anna Andersen, produced by Bonne Smith and assisted by Emma Easton as well as various community volunteers, this play brings personalized characterizations to the performances.

About the Snappy Players

The Snappy Players Troupe is an ensemble that showcases the talents of individuals with special needs. Using a semi-improvisational style, many members of the Snappy Players have been working together on theatrical productions for more than seven years

Under the direction of Andersen, Snappy Players’ performances in recent years have explored adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays. After tackling the light, comedic play “A Midsummer Forest” last year, the troupe is ready to take on the heavier comedy of “Something Like Hamlet,” group leaders say.

Clallam Mosaic is a local nonprofit celebrating 20 years of empowering ability, providing programs for life-long education, creative endeavors and recreation to individuals with special needs, their families and caregivers.
