‘The Boxtrolls’ kicks off 2016 Family Flicks series

The popular Family Flicks movie series kicks off the new year on Saturday, Jan. 2, with a screening of “The Boxtrolls” at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.

The popular Family Flicks movie series kicks off the new year on Saturday, Jan. 2, with a screening of “The Boxtrolls” at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.

Offered at 2 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month through April, Family Flicks provides family entertainment, popcorn and fun movie trivia for free.

“The Boxtrolls” is a PG-rated, 2014 stop-motion animated fantasy-comedy that tells the story of Eggs, a human boy raised by trash-collecting trolls, as he attempts to save his friends from maniacal pest exterminator Archibald Snatcher.

Upcoming films in the first Saturday series include “Charlotte’s Web” in February, “Up” in March and “Minions” in April.

This program is supported by the Friends of Sequim Library.
