Jim Buck presents “Camping In Your Home” at the next WOW! Working on Wellness forum, set for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave.
Seating for this free event is limited, so organizers urge attendees to arrive early.
Buck will discuss how citizens can prepare for catastrophic emergencies by gathering and updating some supplies to keep on hand that will help cook, start a fire for cooking, maintain a food supply, purify water, make a toilet and repair, light and heat a shelter. He will also talk about tools that will make it possible for you to do all of the above and more.
WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic — Sequim’s free clinic that provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. Work is supported by more than 70 volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.
The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients on Monday and Thursday evenings beginning at 5 p.m
Individuals interested in supporting the clinic may call 360-582-0218.
