Learn how to brighten up the drab days of fall with handcrafted paper flowers at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.

Local artisan Janita Court will lead this free workshop in which participants will learn how to create their own paper flowers to use as fanciful gift embellishments or colorful reminders of the spring to come.

Court, owner of My Woolly Mammoth, hand crafts paper flowers for weddings, parties and home décor.

Court’s days are full of paper, scissors, glue and bridges. She enjoys creating new and fun flowers every day and, as a native of the Olympic Peninsula, draws inspiration from nature to tie into her work.

This event will be limited to 20 participants and pre-registration is required.

To register, call 683-1161, send an e-mail to Sequim@nols.org or visit www.nols.org/events.
