The calm before the Christmas storm? Mr. and Mrs. Claus made an appearance at First Teacher’s Breakfast With Santa event at Sequim Middle School on Dec. 14.

Cynthia Martin, the founder of the First Teacher program, said about 600 community members came to the event that featured food, art projects, silent auction and more.

“I thought it turned out great,” Martin said. “We had so many people who were happy with the event.”

In previous years, Breakfast With Santa was a fundraiser for Citizens for Sequim Schools, but First Teacher took over sponsorship this year. Martin said she hopes to continue putting on the event in coming years.
