Published 12:11 pm Thursday, March 20, 2014
Laurel Moulton, Clallam County WSU Master Gardener Program coordinator, discusses the role spiders play in controlling garden pests at noon on Thursday, Sept. 12, in the county commissioners meeting room of the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Spiders are members of the beneficial fauna that is found in home gardens. Moulton helps identify common spiders found in local gardens and others that can be found around the house. She also shares sustainable gardening ideas and integrated pest management tips that help gardeners maintain a safe home for spiders in their gardens.
Moulton has a master’s degree in horticulture and entomology training from Oregon State University.
