Dungeness Kids Co. celebrates anniversary

Dungeness Kids Co., located in the QFC shopping center at 990 E. Washington St., Sequim, is celebrating its one-year anniversary from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15.

There will be balloons for children, birthday cake, giveaways and door prizes throughout the day. The store also offers a back to school and summer clearance sale.

Watercolor workshop

Award-winning painter Stan Miller teaches a four-day florals and landscapes watercolor painting workshop from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday-Sunday, Sept. 17-20.

Moving near or far

Carol Kindt offers services to help ease the stress from uprooting yourself.

A Moving Experience helps clients organize for packing and moving across the room or across the country. Kindt says she’ll also help people organize their lives and homes.

In addition, Kindt offers help with cooking, cleaning, copy editing, pet sitting and sewing.

Pane d’Amore receives national award

Modern Baking Magazine recognized Port Townsend bakery Pane d’Amore in the 2009 Leadership Awards for commitment to quality.

The bakery recently opened a retail store at 150 S. Fifth Ave., Sequim.

Employing more than 20 people, Pane d’Amore is the largest independent bakery on the peninsula and provides bread and pastry to more than 50 stores, restaurants and farmers markets.
