Sequim High School Select Choir members are so excited, they’re singing from the rooftops — and in the shower — and during class — and even on the streets!

The talented group of singers, grades 9-12, was selected for a trip to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York because of its outstanding performance during the Heritage Festival in Anaheim, Calif., in May. The choir was asked to participate in the Field Studies International Choral Festivals — a collaboration of the best school-age vocalists in the U.S. — from April 1-4, 2011.

To raise money, the choir has scheduled four “mini-concerts” at the Bank of America Park — at Sequim Avenue and Washington Street — in November, December and January. The performances are scheduled for 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10; 4-5:30 p.m. Wednesday,
