Dacus speaks at prayer breakfast

Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute, speaks at the 13th annual Clallam County Leadership Prayer breakfast, 6:30-8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Sequim Community Church, 950 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.

Dacus served as legislative assistant to U.S. Sen. Phil Gramm before receiving his juris doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law. For five years, he coordinated religious freedom and parental rights cases throughout the Western states. He founded the institute in 1997.

Playlet presented

Sequim Center for Spiritual Living presents the playlet "The God Dialogue" at its Sunday service at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at Pioneer Memorial Park, 387 E. Washington St., Sequim.

Actor/singer Rod Loomis and the Rev. Sandy Freeman-Loomis perform the presentation based on the Lord’s Prayer.

Freeman-Loomis is an ordained minister of International Centers for Spiritual Living and was senior pastor of churches in Tahoe City and Sacramento, Calif.

Walk with Spirit Night

Azella the Barefoot Prophet presents "A Walk with Spirit Night: A Channel Night" at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, 73 Howe Road, Agnew.

Good News clubs

offered in Sequim

Good News clubs meet at Helen Haller and Greywolf elementary schools.

The club meets 3-4:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Helen Haller Elementary, 350 W. Fir St., Sequim, in the gym and 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Greywolf Elementary School, 171 Carlsborg Road, Sequim.

The club is for boys and girls ages 5-12.

Children gather to sing visualized songs, play games that help them memorize a verse from the Bible, learn of children around the world who are following Jesus and hear missionary stories.
