The Court of Appeals on Sept. 17 affirmed the conviction of Michael Moyle for four counts of felony assault, along with hit and run injury accident from a Port Angeles wreck in April 2011.

According to the court documents, Moyle was at the Port Angeles Albertson’s when he saw a car driven by Stewart Baker. Moyle followed Baker’s car in his black Mustang at a high rate of speed, then rammed the Baker vehicle, pushing it 150 feet broadside into a telephone pole.

Baker’s mother and two children were injured, including a head injury to a 4-year old child who was airlifted to Seattle.

Moyle left the scene after the wreck and without identifying himself and was apprehended later, according to the probable cause statement.

The jury did not accept Moyle’s diminished capacity defense.

Moyle was sentenced to 120 months in prison.
