Crash in Poulsbo involves Peninsula residents

One Port Angeles woman was injured and three passengers in her vehicle were not hurt in a two-car collision at about 7 p.m. Sept. 25 about eight miles south of Poulsbo.

Kathleen M. Hussey, 67, of Port Angeles, was driving a 2013 Subaru Outback westbound on State Route 104. According to a Washington State Patrol report, Hussey’s vehicle collided with a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer driven by 18-year-old Joshua Elder of Poulsbo. According to the report, Elder was stopped on Paradise Bay Road and, when he turned onto Highway 104 was struck by Hussey’s vehicle.

Passengers in Hussey’s vehicle — Olivia M. Shea, 73, and Jayna L. Orchard, 65, both of Sequim, and Kathleen O. Balducci, 67, of Port Angeles — were unhurt in the crash.

As of Sept. 26, the cause of the crash is under investigation.
