Deputies with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office are seeking 23-year-old Sequim resident Marlon Lamprecht in connection with stealing guns and about $20,000 in cash from a Clallam County residence.

Lamprecht is facing several charges, including burglary in the first degree, six counts of theft of a firearm, five counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and theft in the first degree.

On June 15, deputies responded to Hidden View Drive off of O’Brien Road regarding a residential burglary. According to the sheriff’s office, a resident reported a safe containing several firearms and more than $20,000 in cash were stolen between 9-11 a.m. that day.

Several witnesses reported seeing a vehicle leave the area of the crime scene at a high rate of speed at around 10 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office. The burglary victim suspected Lamprecht, an acquaintance of the victim, committed the burglary. A search of Lamprecht’s Facebook page revealed he was associating with Quinta Huggins, 30; witnesses identified photos of a truck Huggins had posted as the one leaving the crime scene.

On June 20, a search warrant was served at Lamprecht’s last known address on Ryser Avenue within the Sequim city limits, by law enforcement personnel from the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, City of Sequim Police Department and the Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team. According to the sheriff’s office, Lamprecht was not present during the search, but that several items that were reported stolen were recovered — including $300 in cash, five of the six reportedly stolen guns and parts to the gun safe including the lock, which the victim’s key matched.

Shortly after the search, officers with the sheriff’s office, narcotics enforcement team and the City of Port Angeles Police served a warrant at Huggins’ last known address on West 10th Street in Port Angeles. During the search officers found a few more hundred dollars of the stolen cash and several new items of clothing and electronics. The items were located in vehicles parked at the residence, including the truck used during the burglary, according to sheriff’s office officials.

Lamprecht remains at large. Anyone who has information about Lamprecht or this crime is urged to call the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office at 417-2459.
