Donation drive starts for Sequim’s Back to School Fair

The School Supply Drive for the annual Sequim Back to School Fair is underway. The Kiwanis Club of Sequim-Dungeness has placed collection bins around town, where people can donate supplies for distribution at the fair in late August.

Donate at Anytime Fitness (10131 Old Olympic Highway), the Sequim Boys & Girls Club (400 W. Fir St.), 1st Security Bank (114 S. Sequim Ave.), KSQM 91.5 FM (609 W. Washington St.), Walmart (1110 W. Washington St.), Sequim Community Church (950 N. Fifth Ave.) and the Sequim YMCA (610 N. Fifth Ave.) by Wednesday, Aug. 18.

Monetary donations may be made at bgc-op.org/donate.

The Club will also be collecting school supplies at the annual Stuff the Bus event. This year’s Stuff the Bus is set for 2-6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at the Sequim Office Depot, 1235 W. Washington St.

The Back to School Fair will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club. The event’s goal is “seeing that every child in Sequim has what they need to be successful in school,” organizers say.
