Clallam County Fire District 3 firefighters extinguished a house fire on Saturday, May 8, at 277 Pierson Road, Sequim.

Neighbor Chuck Fink reported Bill Stoller’s home was on fire around 4 p.m. No one was home at the time of the fire, which is under investigation.

Assistant chief Ben Andrews and an aid car with two firefighters arrived to discover the two-story single-family house 75-percent involved, with smoke and flames visible from several windows.

Andrews said the contents and much of the interior of the home were heavily damaged or destroyed by the fire and high heat.

The fire displaced Stoller and his daughter Kelly Morrison, Katherine Hargiet and five children who were residing at the home.

Red Cross representatives were called to assist the family with short term housing, clothing and personal items.

Donations to help the family are being accepted at any First Federal branch under “Stoller Family Fund” to help replace housing, clothing, food and other necessities lost in the fire.
