Dr. Kevin Conroy presents a free WOW! Working on Wellness Forum entitled “Natural Medicine Approach to Parkinson’s Disease” at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Blake Ave., Sequim.

In his presentation, Conroy describes symptoms, diagnosis and pathology for Parkinson’s disease. He will offer a therapeutic approach for Parkinson’s disease, including prevention, typical conventional western treatments, lifestyle, nutrients, botanicals and other non-pharmacological therapies that have demonstrated efficacy in care.

Conroy earned a bachelors of science degree in electrical engineering at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 1985. He served as an officer until 1992 and then as a Peace Corps volunteer teacher in Papua, New Guinea, until 1994. He returned to the U.S. to complete the Bastyr University Naturopathic Medicine Doctor program and residency. Conroy then served as core faculty at Bastyr university until 2006, supervising clinical shifts and teaching academic classes.

Conroy’s practice integrates the best of conventional western treatments, scientific research and natural medicine, forum organizers say. He allows time to explore unique aspects of each patient’s case and empowers patient centered treatments.
