The Green River Mountain Men present their annual Rendezvous at the Peninsula Longrifle’s location just south of Sequim, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 30-31.

This reenactment of the annual fur trappers’ gatherings in the early 1800s features historical-style campsites, traders and period-dressed re-enactors with hands-on opportunities for the entire family.

Activities include black-powder shoots, primitive archery, seminars on a variety of fur trade skills and lore, music, storytelling, children’s activities, traders’ row and more. Food vendors also will be on site.

Admission is free. Shooter’s fee is $20 per person for ages 13 and up.

The rendezvous site is on Slab Camp Road, just off Lost Mountain Road. Directional signs will be placed along the way.

The Green River Mountain Men is a non-profit organization of men and women dedicated to education the community about the pre-1840s fur trade era.
