The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office announced last week the recent graduation of chaplain Andy Pursley from the Police and Fire Chaplain Training Academy on May 21.
Pursley was joined at the event by sheriff’s office chaplains Tim Richards (2010 graduate) and Ed Evans (2014 graduate) of Sequim.
The academy partners with Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission and the program provides 44 hours of classroom training, 12 hours of direct contact experience and three hours of seminar training at the Washington Criminal Justice Training Commission in Burien.
Pursley serves the West End of Clallam County and assists deputies and residents in times of crisis.
