United Way of Clallam County Executive Director Jody Moss presented donations of $8,000 each to Nita Lynn, director of First Step Family Support Center; and Becca Korby, director of Healthy Families of Clallam County.

The donations are distributions from the Carol Munro Fund of the Clallam Community Foundation which is the United Way of Clallam County endowment.

Munro was a longtime community member who died suddenly several years ago.

Her husband, Grant Munro, and daughters set up a perpetual fund in her memory from which distributions are made to agencies providing services to young families.
