Molina helps Agnew pantry, library

Volunteers with Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship continued their partnership with Molina HealthCare this month, accepting a $2,500 donation toward the Little Free Pantry and Little Free Library at 1033 N. Barr Road.

Molina is one of many partners that helps with funding, food and more at the pantry and library that are open 24/7 year, 365 days a year with the pantry’s philosophy, “Take What You Need and Leave What You Can.”

Pantry organizers say demand continues to grow: As volunteers stock items daily since the pantry’s opening in September 2020, most items are taken each day.

Because of rising costs for food, expenses in the first six months of 2022 were the same as all of 2021, organizers said.

The pantry offers a range of items, including canned foods, toilet paper, fresh fruit and fresh vegetables year-round.

In 2021, the Fellowship built a Social Justice Building from donations to house pantry donations, books, clothing and gifts for foster children. The pantry is one of many free pantries and libraries found in the Sequim area.
