OMC Foundation puts on ‘An Evening in Chile’ gala

Event raises funds for cancer patients

The Olympic Medical Center Foundation, in conjunction with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, present “An Evening in Chile” for the 2013 Harvest of Hope Wine & Dinner Gala on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Sunland Golf & Country Club in Sequim.

The 11th annual gala raises funds for local cancer patients being treated at Olympic Medical Cancer Center through the provision of services, programs and equipment.

The evening features local chef Kathryn Kitts from The Sweet Beginning Café. Unique wines from Chile also will be featured.

Todd Ortloff of KONP Newsradio 1450 hosts the fundraiser.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails; dinner is served at 6:45 p.m.

Tickets are $125.

The presenting sponsor is Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Other sponsors include Extendicare (Sequim Health and Rehabilitation and Crestwood Health and Rehabilitation), the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe/7 Cedars Casino, Avamere and First Federal.

Attendees will have an opportunity to help raise funds through the purchase of raffle tickets or live auction items. Sample live auction items include a trip for two to the 2014 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles; a trip for two to Sonoma, Calif., at the Five Star Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn; a week in Montana on the Yaak River; a trip for two for nine nights to Italy and the French Riviera; two meals a month for 12 months at The Oak Table Café & Chestnut Cottage; a weekend trip to Seattle for Monday Night Football; a variety of “instant” wine cellars; brew lessons and dinner at the Barhop Brewery in Port Angeles and a one week vacation in a one bedroom condo in Los Cabos, Mexico.
