OMP taps Thomas to lead clinic

Olympic Medical Physicians welcomes Jan Thomas as the new clinic director for Primary Care Services. Thomas will oversee the Primary Care Clinic at 433

E. Eighth St., in Port Angeles, as well as the anticoagulation clinics located there and at the Specialty Clinic in Sequim.

As the director, Thomas will coordinate all business and regulatory aspects of the OMP Primary Care Clinic, including the "day-to-day activities that allow the clinic’s providers to focus solely on caring for their patients and meeting the primary care needs of this community," said Thomas.

Thomas said she looks forward to the challenges and opportunities the position has to offer.

"While I’m coordinating all aspects of the clinic, I also will help with the transition to electronic medical records.

"This is a daunting task but well worth the effort in terms of patient safety, quality of care and efficiency," Thomas said.

Thomas earned a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Colorado School of Business. Thomas brings 15-plus years of clinic management experience to Olympic Medical Physicians.

"Jan’s exceptional clinic experience and her positive attitude are the perfect fit for the progress we have planned for the Primary Care Clinic," said Sheri Greene, administrative director of Olympic Medical Physicians, a division of Olympic Medical Center.
